oy has it been busy.
what does it mean when everywhere you walk you have a headwind? both to and from the same place. is that some sort of sign?

I seem to have time to find things like this on the internet, but not make a real posting. Interesting.

yes to staying up all night and not being able to fall asleep
yes to kisses
yes to having a friend call you and say "knock knock" and then looking outside your door, where you find a fortune cookie and a penny heads up (although i'm not supersitious, doesn't hurt)
eck to having an lj and blog and not being able to pick between the two
eck to then posting some of the same stuff on both
eck to the word eck

I am disappointed that my country has gone to war. It actually hurts me. I am confused now of what to do... I am against this tactic, yet I don't want to be... unpatriotic, I suppose. I still think that at times like these, when a compromise (which I understand it really wouldn't have been; we're just steppin in) cannot be reached, it should just be the leaders that duke it out in a fist fight. See if that changes their perspective. I know it is too late to put this idea into action... plus, we need to wait to vote in a guy we think could handle it (lol), but come on! It's a good idea! Think of all the innocent people that do not have to suffer: from DEATH, a loved one's death, devastation and tragedy of their lives bombed away. Think of the patriotism that would be found, rather than a divided country. I mean, who doesn't like a good round of fisticuffs once in a while?

I found this old article from last year... I had been told that I made the front page of our local newspaper, but missed the issue. It makes you wonder how correct other information is when they've got this all wrong... They spelled Carrie's name wrong and got our awards transposed... I took first for the advanced... heh heh tootin my own horn. The school newspaper got it wrong, too. I feel violated. This was state championships and they even forgot to have awards for the drill down competition and ended up mailing it to me. My 15 mins... all messed up... as I like it. :D
Went out on an adventure with A.J. tonight. He picked me up in his baby and we hit up a show that was miles away on roads that neither of us had ever navigated - roads here are crazy in their twisty twistiness with a lack of lanes, in some instances... don't even get me started on the bad drivers.
dinner: mmmmm italian buffet
'Twas a good production, for the most part, of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge. It's now on my list of things to read. Oh I don't want to think about work yet... two days left of break, ugh.
The cookie dough dilema...
Makin some cookie dough tonight (as I have nothing better to do on this fri night... friends are still outta town/missing their flights from miami ;) )... only had one stick of butter... so i start to make a half batch... yet i insist on using two eggs, forcing me to substitute a stick of parkay spread to make a whole batch... still missing other ingredients but i compensate for them with other things... so it's all mixed and i pull out my milk, but it's gone sour. Can something go right, please???

Dining out for life. That I did. I got all dressed up and went by myself to Mixto. I had a much better time than I expected, which isn't saying much because I went in good spirits, and even ran into a random person I know. His name? Couldn't tell ya. lol. But, I made a friend... Edwin, the Puerto Rican. That is all this clam has to tell you.
yesterday i was ambitious and went for a lil stroll... not quite the understatement of the year, but one all the same. lets just say blocks and blocks, from my building to the philly museum of art, then back to my building, then all the way to the arden and partway back. 50 blocks??? that's about 5 miles, i think.
i finally saw the degas exhibit! i so dearly wanted to whip out my camera and take a couple shots, but they watch you like hawks in there. my cell phone started vibrating so i answered it, talking really softly; it was mel, who was at a restaurant, yelling "i cant hear you"; nothing really was conveyed because the curator/guard guy came over and told me i can't talk on the phone. it felt kinda seinfeld.
twelfth night was pretty cool. they set it in the 50's. one of my teachers was in it, as well as the director of my school. "it's like aqua velva for virgins"

yeee i love sale shopping. lord & taylor baby. it all started with this lil ol' necklace that just happened to match what i was wearing and said it was eleven bucks. i said "ok, i'll take you home and love you. you will be a fun little impulse of the day." well, it turned out to be a $5.87 impulse.
all tolls counted, i spent $96 - everything i purchased was on sale and 3.50 of that is not even for me, so there. i dont shop like this very often, much less be successful in finding anything i want. plus, i really saved 154 clams... the skirt i got was originally 148 but i got it for 37. HA ::dances around like nobody's watchin:: uh...
good mood. warm baths with bath oil make your skin feel niiiiice, yet make your hair look grooooooooss. i complimented this lady on her hair at l&t cuz it was cool and pretty and i wanted to laugh cuz i know how greasy mine looks and i think she was avoiding lookin at it. lol
to top it all off, it was a nice sunny day and much warmer.

the bitterness is/was for my roommate who left for spring break without doing her share of the chores... but no surprise there
here is lil ol' me with 9 days of vacation. i have a feeling it will actually go quick, partially cuz i'll apparently sleep it away (i didn't wake up this morning(?) 'til 2pm) and there are actually plenty of things for me to do... CLEAN >:| LOL
Robert, my love interest (there, i've said it), is in Miami for a week. my two best friends here, Matty and Daniella, went home for break. my uncle is outta town the whole time.
i don't feel abandoned. this feels like an adventure or a challenge or something. like a retreat. relaxing. the same ol' place seems so different.
my acting studio teacher, johnnie hobbs, jr., will appear as the judge on the tv show 'hack' on the 21st i think. hooray!
i think i'll cook up some asparagus tonight. yum
LOL i just did the slogan generator again.   "Robert: The Other White Meat"   ::takes a calming deep breath after laughing hysterically, proceeds to giggle::
today is the first day i've dared to eat dairy in a week... mucus prevention. the road to recovery.

I have just finished "deranging" (de-rearranging) the room and I must say, I like it better this way. It is a teensy bit different and I hope Beckie is satisfied with it as well.
I have also learned from my mistakes... I turned off the computer before plugging it into the surge protector - it still arched, but this time I don't have to start from scratch with my computer.
Happy happy joy joy...
Speaking of cartoons, Gina and I had a fun little chat, reminiscent of the good ol' Looney Tunes days. "Meep meep" and "Andele arriba arriba!!" ::sigh:: We decided she should write her class paper on "The Fall of Icarus vs. The Fall of Wile (E. Coyote)"
